I'm yet to find a liquor store with friendlier staff than BWS Gungahlin. They're awesome! And the prices here are pretty good. The only negative is that they don't have a huge range, so if you're looking for something unusual you may not find it here.

I was refused entry to the store because I was wearing a jumper with a small sports logo on it, which is apparently a 'policy' they have, despite there being no dress code or conditions displayed. I was told if I could go take the jumper off I would be served. I said I won't be back and found the local Cellarbrations store around the corner to be welcoming and friendly, with a better selection of wines and much better prices, and apparently more supportive of local kids sports and community health and fitness and people who might want to pop in after training to get a bottle of wine.
